Champions League: Theo Walcott scores twice in emphatic win, Atletico edge Bayern

Match day two of the Champions League has been completed with the pick of the results being a 1 – 0 victory for Atletico Madrid against Bayern Munich.

Antoine Griezmann missed a second half penalty that could have put the result beyond doubt after Arturo Vidal felled Felipe Luiz in the penalty area.
In another match, Theo Walcott scored two fine first half goals as Arsenal overcame Basel while PSG came from a goal down to beat Ludogarets.

Blaise Matuidi started the came back before Edison Cavani added two more goals in a 1 – 3 win.
Manchester City and Celtic played a 3 – 3 thriller at Celtic Park with the Citizens having to come back everytime the Hoops scored.
Dembele opened the scoring but City equalized through Fernandinho. The Scottish side scored a second via a Raheen Sterling own goal but the English man redeemed himself to score to make it 2 – 2 at half-time.
Celtic took the lead just one minute after the restart with Dembele capitalizing on Kolarov’s timid clearance to score a bicycle kick. The Sky Blues had to come back again with Nolito making it 3 – 3.

In Napoli’s emphatic win, Marek Hamsik opened the scoring with Dries Mertens adding a second. Milik added a third from the penalty spot and Mertens scored the fourth and his second of the day.
